What is the Mission of
Tactix Training Centers?
We develop Warriors and Champions! We train people
to be Winners on and Off the Field.
It is our goal to help our clients to elevate
their athleticism, skill level, mentality and performance
to attain their highest level of achievement and success.
What is Plyometrics?
A unique method of
training which originated in Western Europe which
emphasizes leaping, bounding, springing and explosive
drills to improve explosiveness, vertical leap, lower body
power, speed and power.
What is Sport & Position Specific
Weight Training?
A very advanced
method of weight training, individually designed based on
the sport, position, style of
and the unique strengths and weaknesses of each athlete.
Taking into consideration the movements, and plays of the
sport and position, special care is taken to strengthen
the muscles and joints in order improve the play on the
field as well as minimize the chance of injury and enhance
performance on the by weight training in posture and with
movements that closely simulate movements on the field.
What is a Extreme
Sports Conditioning Class Like?
Each class is
structured according to what type of athletes are in the
class. Special focus is placed on who training and what
they need. But each class starts with Warm Ups to prepare
the body for the Mobility and Agility Drills, Core
Strengthening & Stability, Advance Stretching & Range of
Motion Exercises, Balance Training, Upper Body Power &
Strength, Lower Body Explosiveness and Speed, Fast Twitch
Quickness Drills, Ab & Back Work, Vision & Eye Sight
Drills, and Mental & Tactical Training
How
long will it take to get results?
Of course, this will
vary according to each Athletes level of commitment
and consistency of training, but most of our
players show empirical and measurable results within about
4-6 weeks. Within that period of time, our Athletes
report and drastic increases in quickness, agility, power
and overall athleticism. Most importantly, our athletes
notice a huge improvement in tactical and
natal awareness.
What makes Tactix Training Centers
different?
Our approach is
total and comprehensive. Some gyms have great weight
training facilities. Others have plyo-metrics programs.
While others focus on fast twitch training. At Tactix, we
pride ourselves in offering a full range of training
approaches and modalities to develop the Athlete to their
fullest. One area that Tactix excels is in its very unique
and progressive martial arts program for athletes, using
the late Bruce art of Jeet Kune Do. Another is the
emphasis on Tactical and Mental training to improve the
Athletes work and training ethics, ability to handle
challenges and failures, problem solving and No Quit
Attitude.
At what age should I or my child
start lifting weights?
Of course everyone
is different, but we start youth with very light and
limited weight training between the ages of 12 and 14. We
emphasize range of motion, proper form, joint health, back
alignment and building a solid foundation without overly
stressing the skeletal system or connective tissues.
Can
I train with weights even during the season?
Absolutely! We cut
down on the intensity and the frequency and focus on
maintaining strength, speed, flexibility and range of
motion as well as injury prevention.
Are
private sessions or group classes better?
A combination of
both is best. Privates provide for very close supervision,
critiquing and focus whereas the group lessons offer more
of a competitive, team work and opportunity for leadership
and a gauge with the other athletes in the group.
How
does martial arts training benefit me as an athlete?
Warrior Mentality is
gained as well as Tactical Awareness. Martial Arts Drills
are also great for quickness, footwork, toughening of mind
and body and the Indomitable Spirit that Warriors learn
for the battlefield.
